Consortium meeting of SaltGae Project: Using algae to treat saline wastewater

Today, the SaltGae consortium is meeting in Israel at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Zaks Auditorium, Stone Building, Rehovot for its penultimate meeting. The meeting is hosted by the European Desalination Society. Partners discuss the progress made so far and the last steps before the closure of the project and the final report.

The project aims to develop a solutions that allows a significant cost savings through improvements in cost efficiency for nutrient and desalination treatment costs and nutrient valorisation. Furthermore, it aims for a market uptake within a three year time frame from completion of the project realizing a relevant business growth (>€120 million) within a five year period.
