The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has sent the favorable resolution for the implementation of the BlockFactu project submitted to its call for grants for Innovative Business Groups last June by the consortium formed by AEI de Ciberseguridad y Tecnologías Avanzadas, GAIA, Proconsi, Funditec and Grupo Igarle.
At present, all large and medium-sized companies and a large number of small and micro companies have an invoicing software or ERP that allows them to electronically manage their business and generate the documentation that interrelates the business with other economic agents: Order to supplier, Orders received, Delivery note, Departure note, Invoices received, invoices issued, etc. ERPs will be imminently and significantly affected by two legal changes with a profound technical impact, the “Royal Decree VERIFACTU” and the “Crea y Crece Law”, which establish requirements such as “The obligation, on the part of producers, marketers and users, that the computer or electronic systems and programs that support the accounting, invoicing or management processes of those who carry out economic activities guarantee the integrity, conservation, accessibility, legibility, traceability and unalterability of the records, without interpolations, omissions or alterations, which are not interpolations, omissions or alterations, The obligation, on the part of producers, marketers and users, that the systems and computer or electronic programs that support the accounting, invoicing or management processes of those who develop economic activities guarantee the integrity, conservation, accessibility, legibility, traceability and unalterability of the records, without interpolations, omissions or alterations that are not duly noted in the systems themselves”; or that the ERP guarantees in a mandatory manner “The integrity and unalterability of the billing records so that, once the billing data has been recorded, these are protected against any action that compromises the accuracy, authenticity and completeness of the stored data, so that none of the recorded data can be altered, neither by the computer system itself, nor by the user or by any external device, system or computer or electronic program”.
There are manufacturers and companies that for various reasons will not be able to implement the real-time shipping option and will have to modify their invoicing software to guarantee the indicated requirements. This is a major technological challenge that is difficult for small and medium-sized manufacturers to meet, due to lack of knowledge, technological resources and financing.
There is currently no document persistence and custody platform that effectively and efficiently solves these needs, and is easily integrated with any ERP, without the need for each one to have to solve it individually, create and finance their secure cloud storage capabilities, etc. All of this would end up being passed on to customers.
In this project, such a storage platform will be created, under the name BlockFactu, which will allow a single investment, amortized by a large number of ERPs that will use it, to replace numerous investments of not significantly lesser amount.
