Funditec participates in the 0Malware project for cybersecurity protection and legal certification in digital forensics analysis

Project CPP2021-009049 funded by MCIN/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/ PRTR

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is marking a significant change in global society with remarkable advances in technologies such as 5G networks, quantum computing and artificial intelligence (AI). While these innovations offer economic and societal benefits, they also pose considerable threats, exacerbated by the absence of a global technology governance framework.

The 0Malware project emerges as a response to these challenges, proposing a revolutionary approach to cyber threat detection and mitigation. Countering the limitations of “signature-based detection”, the project focuses on methodologies based on malware behavior, seeking early detection and prediction of threats, moving away from reliance on static signatures.

The 0Malware initiative is distinguished by the integration and enhancement of innovative technologies, including Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Data Mining (DM), Cloud Computing Security, Machine Learning (ML) and Blockchain. This amalgamation of technologies provides a comprehensive layer of protection, avoiding the existence of a single point of failure and ensuring a shared truth for threat detection and mitigation.

The project will be carried out over 36 months through a consortium between DLT CODE, a company specialized in cybersecurity and digital forensics, and FUNDITEC, a technology center with expertise in AI, Blockchain and cybersecurity.
